Meet Your Occupational Therapist, Carla

Smiling woman with blonde hair in a black top against a soft background.

Carla is an occupational therapist specializing in occupational therapy within the Hunter region, with extensive and varied experience working with adolescents, adults, and older adults.

She is passionate about advocating for people living with intellectual disabilities, neurodivergence, and dementia. As an experienced occupational therapist, Carla has worked across many contexts and care roles, feeling comfortable with individuals who have complex conditions and severe behaviours of concern.

Carla employs an open, inclusive, trauma-informed approach to assessment and information gathering. She prioritizes building trust and safety, ensuring that each individual's experiences are heard and respected without judgment. This solid foundation enables her to create a high-quality, personalised, and comprehensive report that accurately reflects the unique strengths, needs, and goals of each individual.

Outside her role as an occupational therapist, Carla joyfully wrangles her two young kids while indulging in her passion for various hobbies.
