Meet the therapist

Carla is an occupational therapist with extensive and varied experience working with adolescents, adults, and older adults in the Hunter region.

She is passionate about working with, and advocating for people living with intellectual disabilities, neurodivergence, and dementia. Carla has worked across many contexts and care roles, and is experienced and comfortable working with people living with complex conditions and severe behaviours of concern.

Carla uses an open, inclusive, trauma-informed approach to assessment and information gathering. She prioritizes building trust and safety, ensuring each individual's experiences are heard and respected without judgment. This foundation allows her to develop a high-quality, personalised, and comprehensive report that accurately reflects the individual's unique strengths, needs, and goals.

Outside her work as an occupational therapist, Carla is busy (joyfully) wrangling her two young kids and being a perpetual hobby enthusiast.
