What we offer

Assessments

Wallsend Occupational Therapy provides comprehensive, person-centred assessments for adolescents and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities and neurodivergence. 


Our limited range of assessments enables us to focus on providing quality reports with short wait times. Assessments currently on offer include:

  • Functional capacity assessments
  • Assistive technology assessments
  • Sensory assessments
  • Needs and Housing assessments (SIL/SDA/ILO)
  • NDIS access request assessments

 At Wallsend Occupational Therapy, we use a trauma-informed approach to empower adolescents and adults to live fuller, more independent lives by providing comprehensive, personalised assessments that support their unique goals and enhance daily functioning.

We are a fully mobile service operating in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, and the Upper Hunter regions. Live out of area? No worries, we also offer Telehealth!

Process

Our Mission

Process

Assessments are conducted face-to-face at the participant’s home, a pre-arranged location, or via Zoom for Telehealth. A comprehensive report is provided once all necessary information is gathered. Timeframes vary based on case complexity.
